Attic in the city centre
A former one-bedroom apartment has been transformed in an open space environment. As my client travels a lot for work, she wanted this small pad to reflect the functionality of a smart business hotel: a spacious and relaxing bathroom, a quiet sleeping area, a comfortable working space in a BEAUTIFUL environment.
In these compact 35 square meters of surface, the results more than exceeded her expectations: the bathroom has been repositioned and made much more spacious, with an ample walk-in shower with downlights to enhance the stylish tiling; the sleeping area has been repositioned in the lowest part of the roof pitch; the windows have been replaced with new and more performing skylights, and an external insulation layer has been added to improve sound and thermal insulation.
The raw wood-looking bleached oak parquet, with visible wood grains and knots, makes the environment warm and welcoming.
For the kitchen area, the same tiling has been applied to both the wall and the floor, thus creating an open, connected space with the living room. The indirect lightings in the wall recesses provide a warm, relaxing comfort.

Rental apartment
A 70 sq m apartment in the city centre, close to the university campus.
The owner, who lives abroad, entrusted me with the entirety of the works: interior design, choice of materials, choice of contractors and choice of furnishings.
Before the renovation started, tenants were living in the apartment as “victims” of its dark, messy and unorganised spaces.
After the renovation, the apartment was simply unrecognizable: brighter, cosy, colourful. The living area has been opened up and the sleeping area has been given added privacy thanks to the creation of an independent access for each room.
